In March 1955, the site for a new Primary school at Rosyth School was identified. 

 

In January 1956, Tampines School II was temporarily at Serangoon Gardens South School.

 

In December 1956, Tampines School relocated to the new building at Rosyth Road and came to be known as Rosyth School. Its Principal, Mr Chee Seng Jee coined the Rosyth School motto. The school badge was designed by one of the teachers, Mr Low Khee Yew. The school song was written later by another teacher, Ms Janet Chee, in the 1960s. The lyrics were penned by Mr E.W. Jesudason, the Principal of Raffles Insitituition.

 

In January 1957, classes commenced at Rosyth Road.

 

In January 1958, Rosyth School went double-session and functioned at Rosyth School and Rosyth School II.

 

In September 1959, Mr Chee was succeeded by Mrs Bertha Neo.

 

In January 1960, Rosyth became a post-primary centre.
