SHOBA JAGANATHAN

Memories of Rosyth

I have many fond memories as a student. My favourite play area at Parry Avenue was the big field that we shared with Parry Primary School. The spacious area was where we had our annual sports day, playing tag and hiding behind the trees that were planted around the field. Sports Day in those days was one of the major events that left a lasting impression in my mind. We used to have team races and the one that I used to enjoy most was the sack race. We had to put our legs into sacks and try to outrun our opponents from the other teams without falling. It was no easy feat to participate in the sack race on the actual Sports Day despite all the practices we had prior to the event. But it was real fun!
